The way that l approach mindfulness on a day to day, moment to moment basis involves an embodied practice that connects me to my mind, body, and emotional intelligence. By tuning into the sensations, feelings, and thoughts within my body, I’m organically inviting myself to recognise the treasure in every moment – both joyful or challenging
Mindfulness creates presence. It allows me to explore the richness of my experiences without judgment, embracing whatever arises with compassion and acceptance. I often ask myself, “What’s the treasure within me in this moment? What is it that I need to explore?” This compassionate inquiry opens the door to self-discovery, revealing the insights and wisdom that lie beneath the surface.
By aligning my focus, clarity, strength, and power, everything flows more seamlessly. I find that when I am present and calm, I can respond rather than react. This shift transforms the way I think, feel, and act, allowing me to engage with the world from a place of love and understanding. The calmest person in the room often holds the most power; they are able to think clearly, focus intently, connect better with others, and they are balanced. They and act from their heart space, can speak their truth, yet omit a vibrational frequency of love – which is the highest frequency.
As I practice mindfulness, I take time to tune into what’s happening within me. I might notice I’m talking faster, I have knots in my stomach, tightness in my chest, a quickened heartbeat, or a sense of grounding and openness. Each day presents a unique opportunity to explore my inner landscape, and I welcome this adaptability. When I experience discomfort, I pause to ask questions: “What sensations am I feeling right now? Where is this tension, and where do I feel relaxed?” This self-reflection helps me identify what moves me and guides me back to my best center - my place of balance and calm.
Finding my best center is not a fixed state; it evolves based on my circumstances, energy levels, and emotional landscape. By being attuned to my body, I can take steps toward this center, whether through movement, pilates, yoga, breathwork, meditation, walking, or simply sitting in silence. Each practice enhances my overall well-being, allowing me to guide stress with greater ease and awareness.
